Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Fresno Residents Directory may receive, how that information is used, and the choices available to you. The site collects very little: it points to public rolls and directory collections in Fresno and Fresno County, California, requires no account, and does not keep a personal search history.

Information You Submit

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we use the details in your message to read and answer it.

Routine Technical Logs

Our hosting may record ordinary access details, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and learn which Fresno records topics receive attention. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.

How Information Is Used

Available information helps us run the pages, fix faults, measure traffic, improve the Fresno reference material, and understand general use. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual users.

External Portals and Links

Pages may link to Fresno County and California records portals, the Heritage Center, the State Archives, and third-party search tools. Once you use one of those destinations, its privacy policy controls what you submit there. The same applies to sponsored results supplied by an outside company.

Who May Process Information

Hosting and support providers may process server logs while they keep the service running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise limit disclosure to the purposes stated here.

Security and Retention

The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no accounts here, this service does not hold a password or user profile for you to expose.

Visitors Under 18

Fresno Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent us information, contact us so we can review and delete it.

California Privacy Choices

For a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §§1798.100–1798.199.100, provide rights to know or access, correct, delete, and limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, as well as to opt out of sale or sharing, subject to statutory exceptions. A covered business must also honor Global Privacy Control where it applies. Because this service keeps very little, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available logs, then removing what is found.

Use the Contact page for a request. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000–7931.000, governs access to many existing agency records, but Fresno County, City of Fresno, and California custodians remain outside our control. A deletion request to this service cannot erase a deed, court file, voter record, or other record held by government. Safe at Home, under Government Code §§6205–6216, offers eligible participants a substitute address and related confidentiality protections; it is not a general deletion process.

Updates to This Policy

When this policy changes, the revised text will be posted here. Continued use of Fresno Residents Directory after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
